OUR LOCAL MARKET IS ADAPTING AND GROWING
From September 2023, the Bundanoon Makers Market will move back to its original location at the Bundanoon Soldiers’ Memorial Hall for the 3rd Sunday of the month ONLY. The market will remain at Bundanoon Public School on the 1st Sunday of the month until further notice. To celebrate the market coming back into the central hub of town we’re introducing a new initiative for our community, Backyard Produce, which will be located in the upper supper room of the hall on the 3rd Sunday market, beginning on Sunday, 17 September.
Backyard Produce allows small-time growers, from kids to seniors, to sell what they grow and harvest at home. There will be no set stall fee. A space will be supplied in the supper room, along with tables, tablecloths, and baskets. In return, a small percentage of whatever you earn is taken. Backyard Produce will operate on an honesty system. Its aim is to help supply our community with fresh produce – and provide an incentive to get into that veggie patch.

The Markets are held on the first and third Sundays of every month (except January) 8.30am to 2pm. The Bundanoon Makers Market is a fabulously friendly community event, crammed with arts, crafts, live music, delicious food, fresh produce and handmade goods. There is plenty of fresh local produce, breads, eggs and honey, plus a glorious selection of homemade cakes, jams, chutneys and sauces. Delicious food stalls serve up fare with an international flavour, including a range of ready-made take-home meals, and of course a coffee van for your morning caffeine hit!
So, come discover the handmade, homemade, bakers, growers and artists and enjoy the buzzy, eclectic atmosphere of the Bundanoon Makers Market in one of the Southern Highlands most picturesque villages, less than two hours drive from Sydney. Luminescence, a virtuosic vocal ensemble of six professional singers presents Of The Body, a work conceived by Dan Walker. In a concert that traverses sex, sensuality, the senses and more, Luminescence Chamber Singers explore our relationship to our flesh and blood.
Luminescence Chamber Singers is a virtuosic vocal ensemble based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country [Canberra, Australia]. Performing music that spans Medieval chant and Renaissance polyphony as well as folk song, pop, and contemporary art music, Luminescence has rapidly emerged as one of Australia’s leading ensembles.

Arts Bundanoon exists to present and encourage the performing and visual arts in
Bundanoon and the broader community.
Since its inception in 2001, Arts Bundanoon has presented music recitals, concerts and
other events of a very high standard to the local communities. Ensembles and artists
presented to date include pianists Nicholas Kennedy, Daniel Herskovitch, Tony Lee, Annie Ma, Alisa Yuko Bernard; violinists Ben Adler, Ying Ho; The Choir of St James, Trio Empyrean, The Nano Symphony, and many more.
Arts Bundanoon presents a Saturday morning “Music at Eleven” recital series showcasing
talented young musicians as well as experienced local & visiting artists “Piano at Eleven”
is on the second Saturday of each month at 11.00am. Entry is $15.00 via TryBooking, children under 18 free.
The “home” of Arts Bundanoon is the art deco Bundanoon Soldiers Memorial Hall with its fine acoustics and fine Yamaha C6 grand piano.

After years of swimming every day in the freezing ocean at the tip of Africa, Craig Foster meets an unlikely teacher – a young octopus who displays remarkable curiosity. Visiting her den and tracking her movements for months on end he eventually wins the animal’s trust and they develop a never before seen bond between human and wild animal. Foster describes the effect of this mentorship-like relationship the octopus provided him, teaching him a lesson on the fragility of life and humanity’s connection with nature.

BUNDANOON GARDEN RAMBLE – October 26 & 27, 2024
Get Ready to Ramble!
Each year, on the last weekend in October, eight lovely gardens are opened for visitors. Small gardens to large country gardens, in and around the village of Bundanoon, provide plenty to inspire and enjoy.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our lovely village for the 2024 Bundanoon Garden Ramble Garden on October 26-27, 2024.
It wouldn’t be Garden Ramble without scarecrows popping up around the village for the Lions Club Competition. Come for the weekend, you won’t be disappointed.

There are stalls and refreshments in the gardens and you’ll find more plants and locally made items on sale in the Community Hall.
Explore the history of Bundanoon with a visit to the Old Goods Shed near the station or stroll the Heritage Trail around the village. Bundanoon is a gateway to the Morton National Park with walks and viewpoints over the gullies below.
